It used to be much more effective, but that was because I had a greater need to have visitation. I was very isolated for a while when I had some problems that were cutting me off. We left instructions for the caregiver, and the caregiver did not follow the instructions regarding cooking. This was irritating. The caregiver was sweet, kept my mom awake. There were instructions that she did not follow. She treated my mom with respect and kept her engaged.

Some of them even came by to check on my grandmother after my grandfather passed. One person was like an extension of myself. She helped to get things lined up. She jumped in and helped us to get in contact with the right people. It was like another set of hands to help with those things. The caregivers helped take care of their linens and clothes.
