Personally, from what my uncle Freddy said, the caregivers did what they needed to do. With him being elderly and the agency just having people stop by and visit with him, it did him a lot of good knowing that he had to open the door. It did him well socially and they were a comfort.

I couldn't trust them. I was a nervous wreck thinking if they were going to show up. All the experiences I've had with them were dramatic. I did have two outstanding caregivers with my husband, but from then on I had them about six or seven times and I would ask them to give him his lunch, and she wouldn't do it. She would play on her cellphone.

My opinion is that they have done a good job but for my dad we need to have the same person, some for the lunch and the evenings. When you send a different person every day, they don't know where things are in the house, and they don't know what to do. He needs somebody with him, so it is good to have someone there to visit with him and talk to him.
