When you send a different person every day, they don't know where things are in the house, and they don't know what to do. He needs somebody with him, so it is good to have someone there to visit with him and talk to him.

I did have two outstanding caregivers with my husband, but from then on I had them about six or seven times and I would ask them to give him his lunch, and she wouldn't do it. She would play on her cellphone.

Personally, from what my uncle Freddy said, the caregivers did what they needed to do. With him being elderly and the agency just having people stop by and visit with him, it did him a lot of good knowing that he had to open the door. It did him well socially and they were a comfort.

It depends, right now we have had different people and just a couple of bad experiences with a few caregivers, but the manager has been good. I think it's just getting a personality connection with a caregiver and one who takes initiative to make that time valuable when they are there.
