I think in my mom's case it would have been nice to have caregivers who knew how to handle Alzheimer's patients. I'm not sure they could have done much, Mom was resistant to their help. She didn't want help bathing and things like that, they couldn't have done much.

They keep sending us a new person every other time sometimes. I like the one that comes regularly. Every new person has to be trained by us. The caregivers that are not a good match need to be told every time they come. They should know what to do. They come in and do a couple of things, then sit down and are on their phones. I can tell them what to do but they should be trained from HomeWell Care Services Sarasota.

I've mentioned in every survey, but they don't do spot inspections with the aides. They need more supervision with the aides. I had to keep telling them what to do and how to do things. The quality of service started to drop. I spoke to someone, and they let me know that I have to tell them what to do. I'm not getting a break, and it's not fair to me to be their supervisor, and I'm not comfortable bossing around the aides. I get stressed, and my blood pressure goes up.

Qualification
To receive this certification, a home care agency must meet the following:
