I have mixed feelings. The service is excellent, my only criticism is that one caregiver I had was nice and professional, and I liked her a lot was fired for having some illness and sicknesses happening in her family. I think the way she was treated is awful, and I suffered when she was let go. They've been very good to me, basically. My condition has changed, right now I'm using their services minimally, and it's good, but most of the services they do are to help out the support staff that I already have here. I live in a retirement community and most of the time the needs that I have can be picked up by the staff here, but on the weekends they are short-staffed so the help that I get here is augmented by BrightStar. They're having a positive impact, but it's a minimal impact.

The caregivers that I got were always personable and professional, and I did not need to direct them to do things, they saw things and did them. They made sure the people they got for my liked and were not allergic to cats, because that made a big difference in how my cats reacted to them. I trust their judgment.

I think the most frustrating thing was that they didn't clean, and they didn't offer to watch my mom. One of the caregivers was watching television, and on their phone most of the time. My mom was left unattended for a couple of hours when I was gone. Also, one of the caregivers wouldn't put a pot roast in for my mom. They needed to be trained a lot better. Some of the caregivers just sat on the phone. I left a detailed list of what light household activities they could do, and they weren't good at performing them. I had no peace of mind while I was gone, and it was just really hard to leave my mom there.

I would recommend them because they were able to provide care very quickly to us, and I thought the care was good. They were able to be with my loved one, and make sure she took her medicines. That helped us a lot.

They are responsive, reliable, and thorough in providing care. Dad is diabetic, so they change out the insulin pump, they also go over his other vitals.

They are very consistent and reliable. When I request a time for them to come, I don't have to worry about them coming. I know they will be here. Some of it is help around the house since my beautiful wife passed away last year. It's nice to have someone here on a professional level and the companionship of having someone to talk to.

I needed something ASAP, and I left a message and called back right away. They were really attentive with the responses, and they answered my question and met my needs the next day. My mom is very difficult to work with and my dad didn't have the energy to care for someone with dementia but it was good to know that someone was going to be there.

They could be more consistent with whom they send. Some of them are either aren't informed of the medication schedule or just don't know. Nothing they can do to make our life easier. The patient has Alzheimer's and nothing get easier with that.
