It took quite some time to get the first step completed since we were using the grant to cover the cost. When they explained it to us, the expected time. The grant would run out in January 2026, but when it got to that point, no one informed me that the grant had been used up. It was our caregiver's last day. When I contacted the agency about other payment options, they mentioned Medicare. But I was told I had to deal with everything, which made me more upset because it seems inappropriate that they failed to notify me the grant had been used and didn't help to keep us as a client. It was great because it allowed us to have some time to get things accomplished and trust that she was being cared for and safe.
