The agency is very particular about the caregivers that they provide. I have Diane. I am concerned because she takes a lot of time off. But when she is here she does well, she does her job. I am just unhappy with the amount of time she has been out. In her defense, she makes a lot of trips to help her son, who is in the Navy. I think she has got something else coming up that is going to take her away for a week. I think she just has had so much time off that it has been a little bit of a burden. The caregiver only comes once a week, except for when she is out of town. I am managing a lot for myself.

The quality of the care is inconsistent from one caregiver to another. Also, when there is a change in caregivers, there is no cross-training done. The service is inconsistent. It is very impactful when the regular caregiver is here. She does laundry, and housekeeping, and it takes some stress off of me. The caregiver we had today and an impact of 2-3, she sat on the phone, and I was not satisfied.

When my dad started to have care from the same provider, we were paying for both, but the provider was only getting paid for one, so she increased her rate to be reimbursed. We have gotten several visits and calls from Kim who reached out to us in the beginning, and there always has been phone calls if the caregiver cannot make it.

I really did not investigate any other care programs, so I am satisfied with what they have here. My husband really was not keen on having people over here, so I'm trying my best to follow up on that. My husband is not able to walk around and do things for himself, and he has dementia. That is why we have Right at Home. The latest caregiver has a dog, and my husband loves dogs.
