The housekeeping wasn't very consistent because they would change housekeepers every week and I had to explain what help I wanted from each of them. I would've liked more consistency in the beginning, but it did eventually get worked out. I didn't have any issue getting along with anyone, I just did not like having to explain what I wanted each caregiver to do, and it was weird for me to ask for help because before this I was a very able-bodied person. The impact was good because it helped me with tedious tasks that I was unable to do myself.

Based on the company themselves, not the people that came here, it would be a one. They could come and talk to us in our home about their grievances. They could have communicated with me, and they didn't. That was the biggest grievance I had. I had to go out a couple of times a week to care for my own father. On the last day, I was getting my husband in the car because I could tell that we weren't getting anyone.

They try hard. I got a new caregiver 6 months ago and she told me that she doesn't do simple things like wiping down the base boards. I have window that not difficult to clean and she said she doesn't do that. They should do what needs to be done, this is not difficult. They are supposed to do that as this is a caregiving agency. She said the next time she came, she checked with the agency and they said she didn't have to, This is not normal. Seniors and disabled service spays for the clients they have. I had the feeling she's never been a caregiver before. She is kind of a Diva but she is good at what she does. I figured they told her she didn't have to do this because they don't want her to leave. They should do some housekeeping such as wash the window or wash the base boards. There has to be some flexibility there. She has this I don't this and that and I have never run into this. I never complained about this because I'm afraid she will have an attitude and I don't want this to interfere with what a good

I have never had real problems with them, but I have had a lot of little things with the schedulers or the administrators because they always seem to be a little rattled. The caregivers are great, though. Sometimes they send two caregivers at a time, or they don't send anyone. On the days that I don't have a caregiver, I struggle, just taking care of regular daily stuff that my caregiver does for me.

When we signed on with them, they said they would give my mother her medication. Then because they didn't send the same caregiver to every shift, they were not doing that, and they felt it was too expensive to send an RN to give her the medication. They should be forthright during the initial interview and tell potential clients that their caregivers can only remind a client to take their medication. They cannot open the container or put the pills in a cup for the client. That was a huge problem for me. They would not give her medication so I still had to go see her at lunch to give her medication.

It was a very sudden thing to happen, and someone came a few days later to start services. Both ladies were lovely, and they stayed by my mom's side. They were very supported. I needed it. The provider made sure someone would be there for my mom. I wouldn't have gotten any sleep if the caregiver hadn't been there.
